□ History:

http://kurokonobasuke.wikia.com/wiki/Ry%C5%8Dta_Kise – Kise info

□ Personality: There are some people who simply light up a room when they walk into it. Their smile just causes others to want to smile too and their personalities are just infectious. Kise is definitely such a person. He is almost always smiling and his good mood can really get to people even if his antics can cause them to want to yell or smack him. He loves to be around other people, especially those he respects and cares about. In general, he's just that one guy who can come across as ridiculous but is really just a great person to be around.

He's generally very cheerful, a smile usually plastered to his face. If something is fun to him then he wants to be right there in the middle of it. Especially if it's going to offer him some kind of challenge. After all, his personality might show that he's quite the cheerful thing but he can just as easily become bored with something that he's doing if it can't manage to keep him interested over a long period of him.

Part of the reason for this is that Kise learns things very quickly and can copy them. More than that actually. He can copy them then perform them better than the originals. This can make things boring for him if there is no one who is willing to make things challenging for him or is better than him. He needs people to look up to, who are willing to show him the fun aspects of things. Without these things, he can become very moody due to not being able to find anything of interest. In the series, this is actually what led to him finding a passion for basketball.

Of course, when he becomes good at something and can't find any challengers then he will enjoy making a game of things. This can be quite mocking to people that are not as good as he is but he doesn't pay much attention to that. In his mind if they didn't want to be mocked then they would just get better to prevent that from happening. Besides, if he doesn't do some kind of teasing way to turn something into a game then he'll just be too bored to function properly.

When he finds a good challenge though, he changes and puts real effort into something, particularly if it looks like he might lose. Though he's become better at accepting that he can't always win, he does hate to lose. So he will do all he can to see to it that such a thing doesn't happen. Naturally he won't break rules to do it but he will do what he can. This doesn't mean he always enjoys it though. Far from it. At one point in a game against Aomine, he hated that they were trying to get Aomine out of the game through fouls. More than anything he just wanted to play an all out game with him because he respected and admired him so much. He just couldn't be satisfied without that.

Even if someone isn't as good as he is, it bothers him if they won't bother to give it their all until the end. It's not a matter of respect though. No, he just hates that it becomes too easy then, too boring to keep him going. Perhaps his saving grace now is that he has his teammates relying on him and he respects them all so much that he doesn't want to let them down. Once he wasn't as close to them but this has changed a lot and now he wants the games to be good so he can have fun playing with his time. It even hurts when he loses because he feels like he's let his team down.

As much as Kise smiles, he is also extremely expressive. He is not afraid to hide his emotions and even a smile can tell you exactly what he's thinking. Joy, anger, sadness...he will express all of it openly and without shame. This can lead to him seeming rather silly in how he admires someone but that never seems to bother him. People will laugh or make fun of him, sometimes even hit him for being so over the top but his open nature is part of what people love. Because of it, he's quite charismatic and will happily tell people about those that he admires, even going so far as to add “-cchi” to the ends of their names if he really respects them. This can also make him seem rude because he can be very casual about his interactions with people, quite willing to brush them off if he doesn't like them.

He is also quite aware of the fact that people like him and want to be around him. He's a model and has a lot of fangirls who will follow him to practice just to watch him play. Since they're there, he will wave at them to say hi or even sign autographs for them. Yes, he is fully aware of the fact that he's admired by males and females and thrives on this attention. It makes him happy to be admired by others so he makes sure to let them know that he loves them too. This doesn't mean they're all his friends though. In fact, he's dated several girls but it's likely that it was just to shut them up about wanting to be with him or because he simply felt like it. He even jokes around that no girl has ever turned him down yet when someone tries to break him later by saying that they stole his girl he just shrugs it off saying that he was grateful because he found that girl annoying at the time.

Those that are his friends are sure to have his loyalty though. It doesn't matter if they're on his team or not, he will be there for them. This doesn't mean that he will throw a game if he happens to play against them, never that. He respects his friends far too much to ever lose on purpose. In his eyes he is showing them that he cares just by giving it his all and trying to win. Still, if they need him to have their back then they have him. If Kise is your friend then he is your friend for life. Someone has to really screw things up to lose him. Just being a jerk isn't at all likely to chase him away.

Never underestimate him though. When he gets serious then all games are tossed aside and he can do the most amazing things. He is aware of his limitations and how to work past them so they don't get in his way. For example, he knows that if he keeps admiring a person then he can't copy them because he's too busy focusing on how they're better than him. So he let's that go in order to reach a new level to his potential which is apparently limitless.

Kise is someone to give it his all. At one time he wasn't as willing to do this but since he learned the value of being part of a team, he has been willing to devote 200% to his friends. He knows that they look to him as their ace so he doesn't want to let them down. It actually hurts him to do anything that he views as letting them down even if something is beyond his control. He is a very passionate person who is impulsive and will go into things with his feelings over logic. As he puts it, he's not mature enough to not do things this way. This can make him quite the force to be reckoned with and people will be thrown off by this because there is a sheer force of will that is enough to blow someone over.

Beyond this, he is very intelligent in the things he cares about. There are certainly subjects he doesn't excel at but when he loves something then he knows everything there is to know about it. He thrives on learning new things, always needing to have something to keep him busy. Even if he's resting he has to be messing around on a phone or playing with a basketball. He is a high energy person that needs to have his mind occupied at all times. This is how he thrives and it's how to keep him in a good mood. Without this, it's likely that he will do the bare minimum for something then just quit to find something better to do. Boredom is not good for him so keeping busy and constantly learning is very beneficial to him, especially if someone wants to get close to him to get to know him better.

Kise is a good person who is a light in darkness. If he's down then everyone is down. If he's in a good mood then he's sure to infect those around him with that light. He needs to be around others in order to keep himself lifted up. Without others around him then he can easily become bored or sad. It's not that he doesn't know he has friends or that he's cool, he really does. After all this is someone who has quite the ego due to being amazing at everything physical and being a model. However, he needs people around him to lift him up. People are what keep him going through the day whether it be hanging out with a friend or signing autographs for fangirls.

This is a friend you want to have. He is sure to brag about how amazing you are to others if others happen to overlook you. He strongly admires people like Aomine and Kuroko who changed his life in very special ways. Aomine to get him into the sport of basketball and to strive to be better and better and Kuroko for teaching him the value of being on a team and how fun basketball can be. He owes them a lot, constantly wanting to watch them play or to play with them. For Kuroko especially, he makes sure that people don't underestimate him and see how awesome he is as well. He knows that just because someone doesn't have a lot of presence it doesn't mean they're terrible. Quite the opposite in the case of Kuroko.

Overall, Kise is a flamboyant, social butterfly. He's not afraid to show off how he feels, even willing to burst into tears if he loses a game. He's loyal and kind but can be quite cruel in how he treats others if he finds them beneath him even going so far as to ignore them or make up games to mock them. Easily bored, he requires a lot of attention. But most people will just see the side of him that smiles and wants to be around people, missing how passionate he is about things and how deeply he admires people who are truly great in something, longing to be like them.

□ Age: 16
□ Gender: Male

□ Appearance: Kise is around 6'2” and has a very athletic build. He is very much in shape and takes good care of his body. His hair is kept short and is a gold color along with his eyes. On his left ear, he wears a silver earring. Typically his clothes consist of his workout clothes, his school uniform, or his basketball uniform. However, when he's in casual attire it's in something that's sure to be fashionable for the area that he's in. He is a model (even if he's been taking a break to practice more) so he has an image to maintain. More often than not, he can be seen with a smile on his face but he can switch to tears or anger just as easily. After all, he is a very expressive person and more likely to wear his emotions openly rather than hiding them.

□ Abilities/Powers: Kise is completely without any kind of super power. With that said, he does have an amazing gift for physical mimicry. As long as he is physically capable of doing something then he can copy it flawlessly, usually after just seeing it just one time. Not only that but he can also add more power and speed to it, adjusting whatever it is to make it his own. Of course, there is a downside to this. If he pushes himself too much then he does risk hurting himself because his body is still developing and hasn't had the opportunity to be fully capable of handling such things. For extremely advanced things though, he can usually only push his body to do them for around five minutes. A great example of this is him using the techniques used by the Generation of Miracles, including when he used more than one of their techniques at the same time. This can be quite intimidating to people since it will seem like something they are so good at is suddenly not so special to them now.

[Kise pops on with a smile on his face. It's not exactly an unusual sight but it's still nice to see all the same. He laughs once then starts talking.]

I guess I've been here long enough that I should really introduce myself properly, huh. [It's not a question at all. And he's going to do this whether he needs to or not.]

I'm Kise Ryouta. I'm currently 16 years years old and I attend Kaijou High where I play basketball. My birthday is June 8th which makes me a Gemini for those interested in things like that. I have an A blood type and I'm 189 centimeters tall. Plus I'm a model in case anyone was wondering why my face is so pretty.

[Well that was a long introduction, not that he seems to be at all bothered by the fact. He just laughs a little then shrugs.]

So I guess I should start making friends here now, right? That is what makes being here easier, I suppose. [His smile becomes so charming one can almost see the air behind him sparkling.]

I'll talk to you all soon then! Bye!

□ Third Person Sample:

There were certain sounds that could only be heard on a basketball court. The swish of a ball through a net, the squeak of shoes on the polished floor, the thud of the ball as it was dribbled, the way the heart beat so fast one could hear it... At one time he'd been bored by all of this and had even come to hate how it was associated with something he could never lose with. It was too easy. How could he possibly lose in something that he was so good at? He was the weakest among the Generation of Miracles and yet he'd had no one to go head to head with. Frankly, he'd found it all to be so dull but had continued because at least he'd get the chance to possibly play with the others again even if that meant being their opponent. That would be interesting at least.

Kise had never expected to lose. He'd never expected to have his entire world shaken to the core and his very thinking altered so suddenly. It had only been a practice match but he couldn't say it hadn't changed what kind of person he was. The opposite of that. Through that match he had come to remember something so very important about this sport.

He loved it.

More than that though, he loved being part of a team. It wasn't about winning or being good at something anymore. No, he genuinely loved being part of something and wanting to make his senpai proud. By being their ace, they relied on him and he had to be the one that they could rely on in return. At first that had seemed so easy but now he'd lost a couple of times. Once to Kagamicchi and Kurokocchi and another time to Aominecchi. Both of those had been harsh and he still remembered the tears he'd shed after losing those matches. He'd wanted to win so badly.

The second time he'd lost had been different though. He loved his team so strongly that he'd truly felt like he had let them down. Well, Kise wasn't going to do that again. That was why he was staying late after practice to keep working on things, to get better, to improve his copying ability. Oh he'd managed to copy Aominecchi but there had to be another level to what he could do. No, not there had to be. There was. And he was so close to unlocking it too. All he had to do was figure out how to improve himself to the point of being able to copy the others without any hesitation at all.

Looking down at the ball in his hands, he smiled a bit. Just look at him now, really going out of his way to put effort into this. Yet he loved it so much that he couldn't think of anything else he should be doing. Kise had even made sure to take a break from modeling just to practice more. Everything about basketball just felt so right. It was, well, it was fun. When was the last time he'd really had this much fun? The answer to that was easy actually. It had been back when he'd first started playing this sport and he'd started to get to know Kurokocchi.

With a laugh, he dribbled the ball and pretended to be faced off against his tiny friend. The other really had no presence at all and could just vanish without a trace. Yet, he was so amazing that he couldn't help telling other people about him. Kurokocchi had talents no one else did and he made use of them so perfectly. It didn't matter that he completely sucked at shooting because he was so impressive in other ways. He really admired him, looked up to him for being able to specialize in passing like that. Sometimes he wondered if he could ever manage to copy something he could do but he always had doubts about it. Oh he knew he was going to have to let that go but in this moment he decided he could wait a little longer.

“Just you wait though, Kurokocchi. Soon I'm going to do something so amazing that even you will be impressed. Maybe you'll even believe in me.”

He had to laugh at himself. That sounded silly to say out loud. Oh well. It was the truth. With that, he swept around the illusion he'd created in his head to do a dunk into the hoop. Hanging from it for a moment, he just thought about the other opponents he had to face. Kagamicchi played with Kurokocchi and he was amazing in his own way. To be able to jump like that... It was like he could fly or something.

Letting go of the hoop he landed and brushed his forehead with the back of his hand. He was still covered in sweat from earlier. Honestly it wasn't something a model should be covered in but he rather liked it. It made him feel alive. Modeling was fun because the attention was fun but it certainly wasn't that satisfying to him. Besides, he could get bored with it too. He had fangirls if he really needed to get that extra bit of attention. Of course, they were cute and everything but they tended to be airheads and only interested in him because he was pretty. It was why he didn't date any of them for very long. Why would he when they were only into him for something like that? The least they could do was be interesting or entertaining somehow. Something that shallow was just...stupid.

Going over to his towel, he wiped up his face then sat down for a bit to drink out of his water bottle. He smiled as he looked over the empty court, picturing his teammates practicing in there earlier. They were all working so hard and he actually felt honored that they wanted him to be a part of that. Oh sure his captain would kick him or hit him for messing around or flirting with his admirers but he kinda liked that too. In a weird sort of way it made him feel like he was cared about.

Laughing again, he flopped onto his back then grabbed his phone. Quickly he sent a message to Kurokocchi that just said: “Just you watch me Kurokocchi! Gonna be the best!”

Flopping back, he smiled up at the ceiling before blinking, surprised by the quick response. Sitting up, he looked down at it then paused. It was just a couple of words but they really meant the world to him. His friend had replied to him and had given him some real hope. Smiling fondly, he turned his phone off and got up to go and put things away and turn off the lights. He had to get home to get some sleep. Tomorrow he had a game which meant he had to be ready for it to help lead Kaijou High to victory.

At least tonight he'd be thinking about that simple message. Just two little words.

“Good luck”

He smiled at the sky as he headed home. “Don't worry, Kurokocchi. I'm going to show you how amazing I can become.”
